A Recent Project

A client of ours was very pleased with a new deck that we renovated for them. They decided that their old deck needed a new look and we were happy to work with them on a design that worked for their specific needs. The best part, we were able to keep parts of their existing deck to support their new one.
The deck itself sits ten feet off the ground and gives the client a great view of the back portion of their property. The deck consists of two separate areas that can be utilized in a multitude of ways. The client chose to use the area just outside of the door to their house as the main attraction. This area housed their grill, several medium-sized potted plants, and a round table that seats four with plenty of room to spare. This added space gives the client the flexibility they may need in the future should they want to add more seating, upgrade to a bigger grill or repurpose for another use. The possibilities are endless!
Wrapping around to the other end of the deck is a slightly secluded area that has a small furniture set and a deck umbrella to provide shade for anyone seated there. Tucked back in the corner against the house, this area can be used to relax and enjoy the outdoor scenery. While this space is smaller, it still has enough room to gather should the client have a larger amount of company that wants to spread out.
Brand new Trex decking was used on the entirety of the deck. We used hidden fasteners to give it all a very clean look that was void of holes to keep a continuous appearance from one end to the other. Another feature that the client requested was in regards to the railing for the walkway that connects the two areas of the deck. Black transcend railing was used with several glass panels in between the posts that added a premium quality to the walkway. The rest of the deck used a traditional railing in the same color that extends from one end to the other.
The client also had an upgrade to the landscaping around their deck. We were able to connect them with Pickel Landscape Group who did a fantastic job. They came in and put in all new landscaping that truly elevated the area surrounding the deck and brought new life to the entire backyard. This deck turned out to be exactly what the client wanted and we were happy to be able to build this for them. They were a pleasure to work with and we could not have been happier with how it all turned out.
